By using innovative eco-friendly solutions to collect, filter, distribute, and treat water, we accelerate efforts that mitigate the effects of climate change on our water supply and provide solutions with environmental and economic benefits. Like an ecosystem, our electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and monitoring systems function together to manage the water supply and usage. Water can come from three sources: any exter- nal water source, the rainwater harvesting sys- tem, and condensation.
Rainwater supplements the primary water source to limit the use of groundwater. The AK Airplex recovers conden- sation from the air's humidity, and this water is stored and later filtered for drinking water. The automated shower thermostat regulates water temperature and supply to conserve water without any noticeable difference in pressure. The sensors and monitors collect usage data to ensure every drop is accounted for and there are no leaks. Even the recovery of greywater through the sewage-filter system is designed to support the environment.

Our Foundation Anchor-lock system creates unrivaled precision, strength, and durability. After validating the seismic and soil assessments, simultaneous construction of the onsite foundation and factory-built customized units begins according to the individual site specifications. We optimize the building process and accelerate construction in a quality-controlled, factory environment.
Our building resources are centralized which encourages efficiency and allows for thorough quality inspections of each building unit before delivery. Conventional construction methods remain slow because they need to wait for the foundation to be finished and must adjust to changing circumstances. The ostentatious shift of the load-bearing weight from the interior walls and facade to the Foundation Anchor-locks, Axis Columns, and Infuse Floor System units makes a designer’s imagination run wild with ideas. The exterior facade, glazing, and walls no longer need metal frames. Like curtains, they exist simply for design and comfort. The sequence and design of construction maximize the building potential, and the structural integrity surpasses global hurricane and seismic regulations.
Dual Foundation Anchor-locks securely connect two sets of Infuse Floor Systems along the perimeter of the building. They also position the Dual Axis Columns, which provide structural support and hold the glazing and facade.
Tetrad Foundation Anchor-locks are used to join four Infuse Floor Systems in the interior of the building. These Tetrad Foundation Anchor-locks and Infuse Floor Systems position the primary support Axis Columns throughout the building. A Tetrad Foundation Anchor-lock also supports the spiral staircase.
Green Concrete
Concrete adds strength and stability to construction. It is made by combining aggregates with paste, which is a mixture of water and cement. The continual mining of aggregates, pieces of mined rock, and the waste produced by the demolition of buildings has been a major environmental concern. Green concrete is produced using a percentage of recycled concrete to conserve resources and reduce waste. The cost of production is lower than conventional concrete and the environmental benefits are wide‑reaching.

Additional environmental focus has been placed on cement production which creates 0.9 tons of CO₂ for every ton of cement produced. To reduce emissions, the company Ion Engineering provides methods to strip greenhouse gases such as CO₂ from industrial emissions using carbon capture technology and a patented solvent. Most methods scrub GHCs from emissions using a liquid solution of water and amine, but this means that large amounts of water need to be boiled to release the CO₂, which requires large amounts of energy. Using a solvent not only captures 90% of the CO₂, but it also requires less energy.

The uniquely designed Infusion Floor System is made of individually built, steel floor units that easily connect and contain elements and systems for the entire house. Cables, pipes, ductwork, water storage tanks, and functional components for the automation, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems are engineered and built into the Infusion Floor System. Each design allows for flexibility of concept and customization without compromising other systems' efficiency or disturbing the living space. Inside the Infusion Floor System, hot and cold water runs through pipes, and purified and humidified air passes through ducts to the AK Airplex where the air is temperature adjusted and circulated into the room.
The AK Airplex also functions as a condenser to regulate the humidity in the air and collect water, which is drained and stored inside a storage tank in the Infusion Floor System. High-performance heat and sound insulation is installed along the lower surface of the steel structure. All elements are factory-built and installed in a controlled environment. On delivery, the entirely functional Infusion Floor System merely needs to be connected and leveled using the height-adjustable floor supports.
The Infusion Floor Systems are factory direct, finished, and ready to connect to the Foundation Anchor-locks. Next, catchers position and hold the Axis Columns at the same connection point. The Infusion Floor System serves as the ground floor, and the Axis Columns support the building structure. Additional Infusion Floor Systems are adapted for functionality and added to build more levels.
After installation, the utility and automation networks easily connect. The floor tiles mount on built-in pedestals, which allow for easy access throughout the entire building and eliminate the need to demolish walls. Our customizable collection of floor coverings can be quickly removed to access the inside of the Infusion Floor System and can be changed for remodeling at any time.

This marvel of craftsmanship and design intricately weaves vital systems together beneath every floor on each level. The removable tiles are finished with natural marble or wood and secured onto the built-in adjustable floor pedestals. The completely installed plumbing system consists of pipes, tubes, water condensation tanks, and optional hot tubs. All electrical wiring, cables, automation systems, and retractable floor outlets are installed in the fully accessible space under the floor tiles.
The heating and cooling coil unit, the AK Airplex, is also factory-built into the Infuse Interfloor System, along with the fresh air supply ducts, cables, floor lighting, audio speakers, and water condensation storage system. The interlaced systems seamlessly work together to increase efficiency and functionality.
The Infusion Interfloor System differs from the Infusion Floor System that is used in the first level. The bottom side of the Infusion Interfloor System is equipped with the slim-line Aurora-Sky Ceiling lighting system which eliminates the need for drop ceilings and frees up overhead space. The ventilation system is located inside the floor space inside the Infusion Interfloor System.
These factory-built inter-floor panels are fully equipped and ready to function upon delivery. This building concept eliminates the need to schedule contractors to install layers of systems once the structure of the building is built. There is no compromise between systems since each one coordinates and functions in a synchronized way.

Steel, one of the largest industrial sources of carbon emission, has traditionally been produced by burning coal. However, this process is responsible for 5% of carbon emissions which increase greenhouse gas effects. Molten Oxide Electrolysis is a process developed by Boston Metal to produce better steel without any greenhouse gas emissions. The electrolytic cell resembles a battery and uses electricity instead of carbon from coal to produce molten iron. Iron oxide is mixed with and dissolved by other oxides. Electricity is used to heat and decompose the iron oxide and produce liquid iron, and the byproduct is oxygen. Zero CO2 is produced, and the electricity being used is produced from sustainable sources. The result is better steel production with lower energy consumption.

NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) has enlisted the expertise of Autodesk to help design the next generation of space landers. NASA's projects have no margin for error in the harsh, unforgiving conditions of space. With only one chance to succeed at something that has never been done before, they need new technologies that minimize risk. Their collaboration with Autodesk brings the power of machine intelligence and cloud computing to space engineering. The purpose is to research design and manufacturing processes for space exploration by utilizing all existing research and data. On November 13, 2018, this concept lander was unveiled at Autodesk University in Las Vegas. This generative design is possibly the most complex design ever created.

Autodesk 360 is a commercial form of this cloud-based platform. Some key advantages are speed and flexibility. On average, it takes most design teams 2-4 months to revise a design, but the generative design can do it in 2-4 weeks. When new performance or environmental data is available, the amount of time it takes to update is sharply reduced. This means customers have more flexibility to specify manufacturing constraints, and designers are free to create. Our vision is to use generative design to enhance and improve our design and manufacturing processes. The speed and flexibility that artificial intelligence offers will create a manufacturing environment that reduces waste and cost. Our goal is to produce affordable, energy-responsible, factory-built buildings for people around the world.
Building Information Modeling (BIM) is an intelligent 3D model-based process that uses information technology and software to allow our team of architects, plumbers, interior designers, surveyors, civil, structural and building services engineers to collaborate on the physical and functional characteristics of a building project. BIM is a shared resource of geometrical information, spatial relationships, light analysis, quantities, and properties of building components that provides an interactive and reliable tool for decision making. When objects are amended, their relationships with other dependent objects are also updated to reflect the change.

We use Autodesk to create our BIM models and envision virtual construction of our buildings to maximize efficiency and eliminate errors. Critical information and connections are verified before construction to analyze potential conflicts, minimize waste, and speed up construction. For example, the specifications, cables, materials, and machines in the mechanical room are virtually built using 3D modeling to test all design concepts in a 'real live' environment. The systems and assembly of each part are organized, and conflicts are identified to streamline the manufacturing process and maintain high-quality production.

The morning dew kisses the earth, and water seems to magically appear from the damp, cool air. What if we could transform air into water and harness yet another way to make our footprint smaller? When we adjust the humidity and temperature of the air, condensation forms. The AK Airplex is designed for sustainability, and the collection of condensation for drinking water is one such example.
Whisper-quiet, pure air circulates through the rooms at comfortable temperatures to refresh the living spaces.

Unlike conventional heating and cooling methods that only regulate the air temperature in each room, the AK Airplex replenishes every room with a fresh, humidified, disinfected, and temperature-controlled air supply.
The recessed AK Airplex inside the Infusion Floor System holds the necessary electrical, plumbing, and ventilation connections. This unit is positioned along the exterior walls and integrates multiple functions that revolutionize how air is treated and circulated throughout buildings. The open, decorative grill and integrated tangential blowers function with the exhaust vents located in the Affinity Door to let the rooms breathe. Fresh air from the Machine Block is supplied to the AK Airplex and mixed with the circulating room air.
In most convection systems, the heating and cooling sources need to be serviced when switching modes. However, by running the hot and cold water plumbing for the heating and cooling coils independently, the mode can be switched instantaneously to supply heating or cooling. Attention to design details and the unique accessibility through the floor panels have created additional advantages. The electrical box for the unit is housed in the Synergy Console instead of the AK Airplex, for added security.
A condensation tray is installed inside the AK Airplex to conserve and collect water, which drains into a storage tank inside the Infusion Floor System. Intuitive design and technology effortlessly enhance our experience with waterproof, multicolor LED strip lights and an audio system.

Heating and Cooling Coil Unit with Tangential Blowers
Fresh, humidified, and disinfected air from the air handler enters the bottom of the AK Airplex and exits the top through the decorative grill. The waterproof audio system is securely nestled inside the static plenum box and connects easily with the automation system. The room air is pulled into the top of the AK Airplex by silent, high-velocity tangential blowers and moved across the heating and cooling coils before mixing with the fresh air supply. The waterproof, multicolor LED strip lights add security. A condensation collection tray is located between the upper and lower sections to capture condensation that is drained by gravity through a pipe to a storage tank. Later it is pumped through a water filter and used as drinking water.

Condensed water from the air is drinkable and safe because impurities could only come from dust in the air. Condensation appears when humid air cools below the dew point. When air passes into the AK Airplex, a three-layer filter cleans the air before it passes over a condensing coil. The cooled air produces condensation, which is stored in a clean water tank and is passed through a water filtration system to be used for drinking water.

Geothermal Energy
Geothermal energy is thermal energy that comes from the heat inside the earth. Recent technology has advanced the use of geothermal power in cost-effective, reliable, sustainable, and environmentally responsible ways. The Heating Season Performance Factors (HSPF) for ground source heat pumps are much higher during the winter than air-source heat pumps, making them not only environmentally friendly but also economical.

At a depth of 20 feet (6 m), the temperature of the ground maintains the average temperature of the outdoor air for that region, which in most states ranges from 45-60 °F (7-16 °C). A ground-source heat pump circulates liquid through a network of piping to exchange heat energy. During the winter, the system will absorb heat from the earth; and in the summer, the system uses the underground pipes to cool the liquid down.

The type of ground source installation depends on the terrain and amount of available land. Vertical loop installation is used when the installation field is limited, but it is the least energy efficient. Underground slinky loops allow for easy installation and increased energy efficiency. When the size of the installation field is not a limiting factor, horizontal loop installations are preferred because they are the most energy-efficient. Another option is a pond loop which consists of coils of pipe similar to a slinky loop. The slinky coils are attached to a frame and placed on the bottom of a pond or water source.
Natural Well Water
Because private well water systems use naturally filtered water directly from the earth and do not rely on treated city water, well water systems are much better for our environment. Depending on the depth of the underground aquifer, a deep well or shallow well is drilled and installed to collect water. A submersible pump, powered by electricity, draws the water up through a drop pipe to a pressure tank. The pressure switch helps to maintain the water pressure in the pressure tank by automatically switching the pump off when a set pressure is reached. There is no delay in the continuous water supply to the entire house; and when the reservoir tank drops below a set pressure, the pump turns on to fill the tank.

An increase in the demand for water is driving the building of dams, reservoirs, and water management systems. Using well water reduces the need for water treatment facilities and lowers the demand for surface water, which in turn helps to preserve natural habitats of streams, rivers, and bodies of water.
Ultraviolet Air Disinfection
A sanitary indoor environment and clean indoor air quality is of vital importance. Ultraviolet germicidal irradiation (UVGI) uses ultraviolet light to kill microorganisms like bacteria, viruses, mold, and pathogens. Since the mid-20th century, UVGI has been used primarily to sterilize medical facilities; and recently, it has been used in restaurants, grocery stores, water purification systems, and air purification systems (HVAC).

Science has proven that Ultraviolet Germicidal irradiation is effective in killing germs. Duke University Medical Center published a study in 2012 that UVGI kills 97% of antibiotic-resistant bacteria, also known as the superbug bacteria. According to a report by the Journal of Applied and Environmental Biology in 2001, UVGI significantly reduces the airborne fungi in air handling units. On April 25, 2020, amid a global pandemic, the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) specified that UVGI is an approved method for sterilizing medical equipment that has been potentially contaminated by COVID-19.

UVGI lights mounted inside the HVAC system destroy microorganisms, reduce allergens, and disinfect the air as it passes through the high-power light. The low-pressure mercury vapor lamps emit UV-C radiation at a wavelength of 253.7 nm. This sterilization process also increases the airflow of ventilation systems by killing and reducing microorganisms that clog the filters, which ultimately improves the system's efficiency.

In developed countries, access to fresh water is rarely questioned, but 96.5% of Earth's water is salt water, and another 1.5% is not drinkable. Water is essential to life, and only 1% of the water on Earth is potable. Desalination of saltwater is used on ships, islands, and places where ample fresh water is not available and where water resources are protected.
Desalination systems use reverse osmosis to remove minerals like salt and impurities by using pressure pumps to push the water through membranes that filter out contaminants. High-pressure pumps are used because saltwater contains a high level of salt and contamination. Seawater water maker systems remove up to 99% of all salt from seawater.

The durable, stainless steel core of the door, also called the door ventilation, is structurally rigid, non-corrosive, and nonporous. It serves as the supporting structure for the walls and door panels, and the hollow shaft inside the beam is an air duct for ventilation. Various elements of the ventilation system use these ducts to supply or exhaust air to different rooms and other floors. The intake grills and thermostats are built into the upper part of the interior doors. Since the air distribution grilles are located in the door instead of the ceiling, they conserve valuable space and seem invisible. On the outside, this minimalistic door appears modern and stylish, but take a closer look. The high craftsmanship and versatile design clearly reinvent the meaning of the word door.
Air is circulated out of the rooms through the vent at the top of each door and carried back to the ventilation ducts in the Infusion Floor System and ultimately the air handler in the Mechanical Block. The air handler functions as an air exchange, filter, and humidifier.
Fresh treated air is sent through the ducts in the Infusion Floor System to the AK Airplex heating and cooling system in the rooms to complete the cycle. All ductwork is installed inside the floor panels before delivery and easily connected to the Affinity Door shaft. The inter-level air return is located in the ventilation shaft beam of the door and connects other doors and floor panels on different building levels.

If one device needs to be changed, no other devices will lose power during the process. Also, the transformers can reduce the voltage being delivered to levels that are safe enough for children.

Our Innovative Technologies
The wall block is made of Cross-Laminated Timber (CLT), which is a light building material. The walls are connected to the Infusion Floor System using an adjustable platform connector. The steel core reinforces the wall strength, and the adjustable connectors allow for sections of walls to be disassembled for transport. A double swivel ring at the top makes transport simple.
This industry-leading wall design makes high speed building a reality. Platform connectors attach the top of the wall to the Infusion Interfloor System, and adjustable platform connectors attach the bottom of the wall to the Infusion Floor System. Since all the electrical, automation, plumbing, and HVAC systems run through the Infusion Floor System, the walls are made of solid wood and reinforced with a steel core. A high strength, honeycomb core can also be used. The outside of the wall is layered with a sheet of steel or aluminum, followed by custom, natural materials like wood, bamboo, vegan leather, or marble.

Cross-Laminated Timber, also known as mass timber, is renewable, eco-friendly, and sustainable. All wood sources are tracked by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and certified to ensure that workers have a healthy and safe working environment and that the logging protects our forests and ecosystems.
Cross-Laminated Timber (CLT) is made of thick layers of boards oriented perpendicular to the previous layer to give the timber rigidity and strength in both directions. The pieces of lumber are carefully selected and planed to ensure the quality of the surface. The timbers are cut depending on the desired length, and additional layers are added to increase the thickness. An adhesive is applied between each layer, and assembly pressing completes the process.
The pure density of mass timber and lack of oxygen naturally protects it against fire. The outside layer will char, forming a char layer that protects the inside and steel core layers. The char rates are predictable and have been calculated and tested. A char layer, or sacrificial layer, is built into the structure to ensure that the inside layer will safely support the building in the event of a fire.
Forest management is about more than just planting more trees. Responsible harvesting and logging help reduce the risk of wildfires and disease. Healthy trees capture carbon dioxide and give off oxygen; but once a tree dies, the carbon is slowly released back into the atmosphere. When trees are selected and used to make Cross-Laminated Timber (CLT), carbon is locked inside the CLT instead of releasing into the atmosphere. Using mass timber is an eco-friendly way to reduce climate change and help maintain healthy wildlife habitats.

Attention quietly focuses on the alluring bookcase. The shelves rise to the second level, and the recessed design takes up no space inside the room. Corrugated steel sheets are placed on top of the trusses, followed by a membrane, foam insulation, and sheathing. Climate change remains a reality. Once solar energy enters our atmosphere, the majority is absorbed by land and water. For a solar shingle to be aesthetically pleasing, it needs to have a uniform color. The different components inside the shingle should not be visible from the street view. Tesla, Inc. recently received a patent for a solar roof tile with a uniform appearance. They developed a color film layer that covers the entire shingle and components to produce a consistent dark look. Tesla solar roofs are three times stronger than traditional roofs, and their efficiency is comparable with standard solar panels but without the compromise.

The first layer of the solar shingle is made of transparent tempered glass, and the second layer is a color louver film, which creates a dark uniform color. The last layer is the solar cell. When light hits an object, it can pass through the object, be reflected, or absorbed. When light shines on a solar cell, also known as photovoltaic cells (PV cells), it is absorbed. The PV cell is usually made of a semiconductor material that converts light photons into electricity. These electrons pass through the semiconductor to metal contacts to be used as electrical power. Silicone is the most commonly used semiconductor in PV cells because silicon PV cells last for twenty-five years. Even after this time, they will continue to produce electricity at 80% efficiency.

After the solar cell produces electricity, the electricity needs to be collected, making interconnectivity among the tiles key. Tesla, Inc. also received a patent for a solar roof tile module with embedded inter-tile circuitry. Recent scientific studies have shown that the "real feel" index has doubled since 1979, predicting extreme heat conditions are not only possible in the future but also imminent. Areas such as the American Gulf Coast and the Persian Gulf were indicated as particularly vulnerable in the coming years.
Global energy efforts should prioritize green energy to reduce the damage to the environment and seek readily available and renewable energy resources.

The sun's free and unlimited energy is not a luxury commodity reserved for special projects in developed countries. Our ability to live in some regions of the world will soon depend on our capacity to adapt to climate change's extreme environmental conditions. Our homes, businesses, and communities use energy to ventilate and cool indoor spaces, but using fossil fuels will only exacerbate the problem.

Currently, some power companies supplement the electrical power they produce with electricity from solar farms. Another option is community solar, a solar power plant whose energy is shared by more than one household. Individuals can also take advantage of solar power using traditional solar panels.
Low profile solar panels can be installed out of view on the roof of houses. The overriding motivation to install solar panels is fueled by the search for low-cost and efficient ways to produce electrical energy. To pinpoint the most beneficial position for the solar panels, the tilt and orientation need to be calculated based on the region. The positioning of the panels is somewhat forgiving, but placing them vertically on the walls or horizontally on a flat roof will significantly alter electricity production. The incline of the panel should be as close to the latitude of the area as possible to absorb the maximum amount of sunlight. If the tilt is altered by no more than ten degrees in either direction there will only be a 2% loss in energy; but if the tilt vertically exceeds these limits in the northern US, there will be a 30% loss andn in the southern US, a 50% loss. If the tilt horizontally exceeds ten degrees, there will be a 20% loss in the northern US and a 10% loss in the southern US.
A panel’s orientation produces optimal efficiency when facing south, but a variation of thirty degrees toward the east or west only reduces the efficiency by 4%. A more significant deviation, where the panel is facing directly east or west, would reduce the efficiency by 30% in the north and 10%–15% in the south. The way the panels are stacked can also help minimize shading and energy loss. Small adjustments to the tilt, orientation, and position help produce optimal energy yields.

Solar glazing is the frontier of solar energy. The sun remains the strongest, most abundant, renewable source of energy available on earth. Solar roofing and solar panels are excellent options for roofing, flat areas, and wide-open spaces; but the largest surface area of buildings, especially in cities, is usually vertical. Windows are ideal for collecting solar energy because roof space is limited, and walls cover more surface area.

Transparent solar glazing absorbs invisible light to generate electricity and allows visible light to pass through the glass. The technology for solar panels cannot be used in windows because PV cells collect visible light and are opaque. Innovative technology created by Ubiquitous Energy gathers light from the invisible spectrum. The transparency of the window is preserved because 90% of the visible light passes through the window. In contrast to heavy solar panels, the solar glazing film is less than 1/1000th of a millimeter thick.
Seemingly, out of thin air, solar glazing creates electricity and value from invisible light. Solar panels that use PV cells absorb 33% of the visible light from the entire spectrum, and solar glazing absorbs 22% of the invisible light in the ultraviolet and infrared spectrums. The slight drop in efficiency between the two is surpassed by the versatility and wide range of use of solar glazing.

High-performance buildings feel comfortable because solar energy is absorbed, stored, reflected, and distributed in ways that balance the temperature of the air and contact surfaces inside the building. A complete site analysis of the climate, seasonal changes, and natural shading is used in determining efficiency and placement. Window glazing, building insulation, shading, and interior surface materials also contribute to how quickly heat is absorbed or radiated. When objects have a high thermal mass, they can retain heat for longer periods, reducing heating costs. A passive energy home absorbs more energy during the day than it loses at night.
Sunlight that enters a building through windows is referred to as direct gain. The amount of direct gain that a building has at any given point on the earth is determined by the geographical position, time of day, and the season. South-facing windows are ideal, and increasing the amount of glazing on the south side will increase energy savings by up to 7%. Floor to ceiling curtain windows pass natural light throughout the building and are cost-effective and energy-efficient. Advanced technology windows create high-performance thermal barriers that amplify the energy benefits.

The winter sun enters the windows directly and warms the surfaces inside the building, offering the maximum level of direct gain during the colder months. The sun's higher angle during the summer reduces the amount of sunlight that passes directly into the house, but the daylight hours are longer. These angles, the longitude of the area, and the local climate are used to customize design elements that take advantage of passive solar energy.
When solar energy hits an object like the ground or clouds, it is partially absorbed and partially reflected. The reflected energy warms the surrounding air, which in turn warms the surfaces. The solar energy that reflects off the floor's surface inside the building also works in this way. When this effect is maximized in a building, it has a high thermal performance. The thermal envelope that protects and insulates the building eliminates weak areas that allow cold air to infiltrate in the winter and warm air in the summer. Additionally, the unique design of the AK Airplex ventilation system enhances passive solar gain by circulating the air throughout the entire building instead of only moving air inside one room.

Sweeping views and expansive glazing are no longer an energy deficit. Our entire southern, eastern, and western facing walls fully utilize the potential for passive solar energy and have a high solar energy transmittance factor of over 50%. Refining limitless energy is key to balancing the power of the sun's radiation. Depending on the season and climate, the amount of excess solar energy entering the house needs to be controlled. Blocking the sun from entering the house using awnings, exterior shades, and louvers is the best approach since reflected heat and surfaces with high thermal mass exponentially increase the indoor temperature.

The glass curtain walls do not require conventional aluminum framing since the built-in flush glazing systems in the Axis Columns support them. The columns and systems support customized shading solutions that can be easily installed at any time. These panels can be stationary or controlled automatically to adapt to the changing angle of the sun.

Horizontal awnings offer the highest amount of shade for south-facing windows. Lower latitudes closer to the equator have warmer climates, but interestingly enough, the length of the awning needed to shade is shorter. A small amount of horizontal shading on these windows offers valuable energy savings on cooling costs during the summer months.

The advantage of having windows on the east, west, and south sides of the buildings is that natural light evenly balances inside the building. However, the east and west-facing windows will have more direct sun during the morning and evening hours. The angles of light during the sunrise and sunset are more direct, which means the length of the awnings will need to be much longer. Using vertical panels to shade the east and west walls is the most effective way to shield the building from excess solar radiation.

The Flush Glazing diagram shows two triple-pane windows and an Axis Column. The space between the two windows is filled with structural silicone sealant and a polyethylene foam backer rod, acting as a spacer. Additional exterior panels can be attached to this rod at any time. Spacers separate the triple glass panes, and the airspace in the middle is hermetically sealed and filled with argon or krypton to reduce heat transfer.

The Axis Column has a built-in system designed to eliminate the need for heavy and expensive aluminum profiles. The rubber seal maintains a uniform distance between the glazing and the Axis Column to allow for structural movements.

Our Flush Glazing system cuts the installation time in half and reduces costs because there is no need to build a frame to hold the windows. Since the Axis Columns are designed to support the windows, one entire construction phase is eliminated.
Triple-layer glass controls the sun's radiation by blocking UV rays from passing through the windows, effectively reducing the heat inside the building during the summer.
